'A loving message.'

A British sentimental postcard.
This black-and-white postcard depicts a small girl gazing at the framed photograph that she holds before her, while her mother places a loving arm around her. Some knitting lies on the table. An inset photograph of soldier is shown apparently gazing down on the pair. The following verse, headed ‘A loving message.’, has been printed above the mother’s head, and reads, ‘We think of you so often, / For you we always pray, / And you’re always in our thoughts / Although you’re far away.’ ‘All British Production’, ‘Series No 486-5’ and ‘PRINTED IN ENGLAND’ appear on the back of the postcard.
