A British soldier's family of six.

His cap badge indicates that the soldier–father of the three children photographed in a field with, probably, their mother and another female relative, belongs to the South Staffordshire Regiment. There are no printed or written identifying details on the reverse of this postcard.

A British soldier's family of six

1 Item

A real photographic postcard. || Although this family of six was clearly photographed in a studio, there are no written details on the postcard on which their group portrait was printed to identify it, or, indeed, the family. The soldier–father of the young girl and her three brothers wears a bandolier and white lanyard. || || A real photographic postcard of a British soldier and his family || Photograph

A British soldier's family of six photographed in Coventry.

1 Item

A photographic postcard. || Printed on the back of this photograph of a family of six is the name and address of the studio that produced it: ‘Photo by TAYLER Bros., Swanswell Studio, 20 Primrose Hill St., Coventry then in Warwickshire’. Four children and their parents posed for their family portrait. The soldier–father’s cap badge appears to be in the shape of an eight-pointed star, and may be that of the Army Service Corps. Both his cap and his wife’s hat suggest a date from 1917. || || A British soldier and his family photographed in Coventry || Photograph
