A British soldier's family of six
1 Item
A real photographic postcard. || Although this family of six was clearly photographed in a studio, there are no written details on the postcard on which their group portrait was printed to identify it, or, indeed, the family. The soldier–father of the young girl and her three brothers wears a bandolier and white lanyard. || || A real photographic postcard of a British soldier and his family || Photograph

A composite photograph of a British soldier's family

The main subject of this photograph is a soldier, photographed in a studio setting. There is a ring on his wedding-ring finger, and the outline of his cap badge appears to show a crown above a seven-rayed circle (suggesting either the Army Service Corps or the Devonshire Regiment). Inset in the top left-hand corner is a small photograph of a woman and young boy, no doubt the soldier’s wife and child. There is no information on the reverse of this photographic postcard to indicate where mother and son, or soldier–father, posed for their photographs, nor are their names given. || A photograph of a separated British soldier's family. || || Photograph || A composite photograph of a British soldier's family.
