This larger-than-postcard-sized photograph has been glued to the centre of a brown-toned cardboard mount (cropped out here) bearing the details of the photographic studio that produced it: ‘USA STUDIOS’, ‘London W & Provincial Branches’. The solemn-looking family pictured comprises two young girls, dressed alike in white, with ribbons in their hair, their mother and their soldier–father. || A photograph || || Photograph || A photograph of a British soldier and his family

The small child sitting on the table on the right of this photograph must have moved while it was being taken because her face is a little blurry. Her soldier–father stands behind her, while her mother sits on the left, holding what appears to be a newspaper. No information is given on either the front or back of this real photographic postcard to help us identify either the family or the photographic studio that produced their portrait. || A real photographic postcard || || Photograph || A photograph of a British soldier and family
