My father, Captain Neil Collins of the 2nd Royal Warwickshire Regiment, arrived at Zeebrugge on 6th October 1914 and was captured by the German Army between Veldhock and Zonnebeke on 21st October 1914 after only just over two weeks in active service. He was taken to prisoner of war camp in Germany and, I believe he was at five different camps during the course of the war. The only three I have details for are Krefeld, Neunkirchen and Schwarmstedt. He attempted to escape on one occasion, but was recaptured and taken to another camp.
