The name of the photographer responsible for this charming photograph of two girls and their parents has been embossed in the bottom right-hand corner: ‘H J Rennie / Blairgowrie Perthshire, Scotland’. The single chevron on the girls’ soldier–father’s left sleeve tells us that he is a lance corporal.
