An embossed stamp in the bottom left-hand corner of this photograph gives the name of the studio that produced it: ‘E HOPKINS VANDYK STUDIO JERSEY’. The family of four that posed in this studio comprises three small army children, their mother (whose wedding ring is evident) and their soldier–father.
