A mounted photograph. || This photograph was pasted onto a grey card, on which the names of those pictured are handwritten in pencil. The children’s names are given as ‘Dorothy’, ‘Cyril’ and ‘Sidney’, while their soldier–father (who is wearing a kilt and cutaway tunic, identifying him as belonging to a Scottish regiment) is ‘Ernest’ and their mother is ‘Ethel Bradford ?’.

A real photographic postcard || Partially stamped on the back of this real photographic postcard is the name and address of the photographic studio that produced it: ‘Modern Photo Co., 57, Castle St, Bristol’. On the front, a little girl is pictured standing next to her mother. Her soldier–father stands alongside them.
