A British sentimental postcard. || The name of the artist who created the touching scene on the front of this postcard – A A Nash – can be read beneath the hammock in which the little girl is lying, gazing at a photograph of her soldier–father. The caption below reads ‘WRITE AND SAY YOU’RE, sic COMING HOME.’, with a rough French translation appearing under that: ‘Ecris et dis quand tu reviendras.’ The printed information on the reverse states: ‘Inter-Art Co., Red Lion Square, London, W.C. / “ARTISTIQUE” Series. No. 1670. / British Manufacture Throughout.’ A pencilled message written in a shaky hand reads: ‘to Freda ? from uncle Will.’ || || Postcard || A British sentimental postcard.
