Thomas Francis Durr

I've been searching for information ever since and I got this - I think it is his service card. I also went to Belgium with my wife to visit his grave. I thought it important that his family acknowledge his sacrifice. I also penned this poem in his memory. || My grand father Patrick and his brother Thomas Durr were from Elphin in Roscommon and they fought in the great War. Sadly Thomas died in September 1918. I knew nothing of him, until I was researching my family tree. I put a request for information in the Roscommon Chronicle. A neighbour of Toms remembered how both my grandfather and Thomas went off to the War, both fine young men, Tom was 23 when he killed.
