Friedrich Wilhelm Nippa geboren in Quicka (Masuren Kr. Johannisburg); gest. Jan 1945 in Havelberg (Brandenburg). Er ist der Urgroßvater des Teilnehmers. Nippa hatte nicht gedient, er war Landwirt, sein Hof seit 300 Jahren in Familienbesitz. Nach dem Einfall der Russen in Ostpreußen wurde er während der Besetzung verschleppt und geriet in Kriegsgefangenschaft nach Sterlitamak, aus der er die Karten schrieb (Zivilgefangener). Briefe an Frank Czablenski, den Schwiegersohn von Friedrich Wilhelm Nippa und an Marta Czablenski, die Tochter von Friedrich Wilhelm Nippa, beide wohnhaft in (Berlin) Wilmersdorf und an Leopold Sadowski in Stettin (Verwandtschaft?). Die Karten wurden über den deutschen Hilfsverein Stockholm und über das Dänische Rote Kreuz in Kopenhagen verschickt.

Der Großvater des Teilnehmers Friedrich Wilhelm Weith wurde 1876 in Hausen geboren, 1898 trat er seinen Wehrdienst an. Er kam 1900 zur Reserve, dann zur Landwehr. Am 6.1.1915 kam er zur Musterung durch das Königl. Preußische Bezirkskommando. Bis November 1918 war er in Lazarettbehandlung.
