From Wednesday 31st October to Friday 2nd November 2018, 24 transcribers took part in the Transcribathon Cyprus during the EUROMED 2018 Conference in Nicosia. The participants, coming from Cyprus, Greece, Italy, India and Austria were competing in 8 teams.
This multi-linguistic and international mix of transcribers crossed the finish line with 1,075,481 transcribed characters and 515 documents! What an achievement!

And well done to Flora Constantinou and Nicoletta Maratheftou for securing a place at the Europeana 1914-1918 Centenary Tour Finale Transcribathon in Brussels. They will compete with winners from previous Transcribathons all across Europe for a transcription challenge, taking place from Tuesday 27th November to Wednesday 28th November 2018 hosted at the House of European History.
