'Welcome peace 1918'
1 Item
The photograph on the front of this postcard is captioned ‘WELCOME PEACE 1918’. ‘C. W. Lloyd’, presumably the photographer’s name, can be seen in the bottom right-hand corner. The photographer has photographed two small boys standing in front of a group of British soldiers in well-worn uniforms. To the left is a ‘B. L. Howitzer’. The sign on the vehicle to the far left reads, ‘Feed the guns with war bonds and help to end the war’. The logo of the postcard’s manufacturer, ‘Sanbride’, has been printed on the reverse. There is also circular stamp on the back that displays a picture of a big gun with ’30 Nov 1918 / 35’ beneath. || A British commemorative postcard || || Front || Postcard || A British commemorative postcard
