Fotografie von Willi Bülk (*1892-nach 1961): Willi Bülk hieß eigentlich Heinrich Detlef Wilhelm Bülk und war in Negenharrie (Schleswig-Holstein) geboren. Nach dem Weltkrieg heiratete er 1919 und war Lademeister bei der Reichsbahn in Neumünster. Über seine Dienstzeit im Ersten Weltkrieg ist nichts weiter bekannt. Willi Bülk ist der Großonkel von Dr. Sven Mahmens.

Lt. Willi Berger war der Vater des Teilnehmers. Lt. Berger gehörte zum II / 478 Heilbronner Regiment. Das in Landreville (Frankreich) aufgenommene Bild zeigt das Offizierskorps dieses Regiments am 1. März 1918. Rechts hinter dem einzigen Offizier mit Pickelhaube ist Lt. Berger zu sehen. Zusätzlich ist hier ein Gruppenbild in einem Lazarett zu sehen, auf einer Tafel die Aufschrift Sylvester 1917 Gruppe IV / Dazu eine Feldpostkarte mit deutschen Soldaten in Stahlhelmen, die mit der Hand versuchen, eine als Wegblockade abgestellte Lok zu verschieben, Aufschrift: Im Siegeslauf, hält uns kein Hindernis – zu beiden Bildern ist nichts näheres bekannt. / Zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt erwarb Lt. Berger das bei der Deutschen Photogravur Gesellschaft veröffentlichte Fotoalbum Zwischen Maas und Mosel.

Willi Schliewe

Gnadenhochzeit || Willi Schliewe überlebte beide Weltkriege und erreichte das höchste Alter der drei Brüder Schliewe. Er ist hier zu sehen bei seiner Gnadenhochzeit (70 Jahre verheiratet) mit seiner Frau Herta. Willi Schliewe war in seinen letzten Lebensjahren blind, aber ansonsten geistig klar und rege. Helga George und mich fasziniert daran, dass Willi zum einen beide Weltkriege überlebte und so lange mit seiner Frau verheiratet war, also eine Seltenheit. Helga George bemerkt, dass der Onkel ein sehr dankbarer Mensch war, obwohl er im Alter blind war. Ich habe dieses Bild deshalb hinzugefügt, weil ich es interessant fand im Vergleich mit dem Foto in der Jugend.
