Watch presented to Major Edward Sherlock

A British sentimental/comic postcard || Artist Reg Maurice’s name can be seen in the bottom right-hand corner of this postcard. He has depicted a farewell scene at a station. A British soldier with his kitbag and rifle propped up behind him is kissing a child goodbye, watched by his wife, with a babe in arms, and five more children. The caption reads, ‘It takes a long time to say good-bye.’. The printed information on the back states ‘No. 3143 Printed in England. / The Regent Publishing Co. Ltd.
