Soldier's bayonet in scabbard and British service badge that would have been worn on a cap

American soldier's bayonet in original scabbard; manufactured in the U.S. with a 1917 maker's mark on blade. Gráinne Doyle's father was the original owner of this item - his uncle served in WWI (looking after horses) may have acquired this while on service; the British service badge which would have been worn on a cap was acquired by him also.

A girl wearing a British soldier's cap.

1 Item

The small girl who was placed on a wooden chair in order for her photograph to be taken in a garden clearly moved as the shutter clicked: her left hand and leg are notably blurred. It is difficult to make out the details of the badge on the soldier’s cap that she is sporting, but it may be that of the Northamptonshire Regiment. || A real photographic postcard || || Photograph || A real photographic postcard of a small girl
