Entitled ‘From Daddy’s Boy’, this black-and-white postcard shows a boy dressed as a British army officer gazing into space. Inset in the left-hand corner is a head-and-shoulders portrait of a British soldier. The verse at the bottom reads: ‘Daddy though you’re far away, / I’m thinking of you, / And hope that you’ll soon come back to me, / And to those who love you true.’. The printed text on the reverse states ‘Printed entirely in England’ and ‘Series No. 91’.

The central image on the front of this postcard depicts a boy writing a letter, with a photograph of a British soldier in front of him. The scene is headed ‘Greetings Sincere from Daddy’s Boy’.
