Ernest Bernaudeau est né à Mouzeuil-Saint-Martin (Vendée, France) le 17 mai 1885. Il se marie avec Florence Guilbot à Nalliers en 1911. This a photograph of my late grandfather in uniform. An Irishman, he fought in the Great War, and sadly was killed in 1915.

Ernest Wilson was a schoolteacher before the outbreak of war. He joined the Liverpool Scottish Regiment. His mother was Scottish. He was gassed, which had long term effects on his health. After the war he turned his back on teaching and became a pay clerk at a coal mine near Wigan. Ernest died in 1945. || Group photograph. Cap badge. Two medals.
