Photograph/Post Card of German Army Reconnaissance Squad

1 Item

Front || This photograph/post card was captured by Frederick Hodges and probably taken from a POW. It was found amongst his memorabilia. It shows an Imperial German Army Reconnaissance Squad posing for the camera. The back of the post card contains an address in Cassel and a message, which is difficult to read. Can anyone read it and possibly translate it? The exact date is unknown. Enlarging the picture reveals that sign board reads Regt 5. Spaher Trupp (5th Regiment, Scouting Troop).
