Medals | two photographs and certificate of discharge for Michael Gleeson
These items belonged to my dad, Michael Gleeson. He was a member of the Royal Munster Fusiliers and served in both World Wars. I have a plaque with several medals pinned to it, including some from World War 2. One is a 1914 star which means that he joined up immediately at the outbreak of war. He probably served at the Battle of Mons. He spent time in a prisoner of war camp in France and one of the photographs is from that time.
