Twenty samples of about 160 German propaganda postcards mainly from the Western Front. || “The album belonged to my uncle’s wife’s aunt, Marie Linder of Füssen, Bavaria. In the 1970s, I found it in the attic. I wasn’t interested in history then, but it seemed such a pity to throw away something so old that someone had worked hard to put together. When I came to Ireland in 1990, I brought this album with me and I have always wanted to show it to someone. Marie Linder’s cousin Walter sent her quite a few of the postcards in the album but there are also some from other soldiers. Some have messages and stamps, others are blank. The writing on the postcards is in an Old German script and is different to modern German.” || || Tanks and Armoured Fighting Vehicles || Album contains about 150 postcards, 2 per page || Remembrance || Marie Linder's postcard album || Women || Collection || Trench Life || Western Front || 47.569648,10.700432800000044 || Postcards from the Front || Deutsch || || Western Front || Dead soldiers || Deutsch || Dead soldiers, unknown location || Postcard || || Western Front || Postcard || 50.607967,2.8580259999999953 || Battle of Fromelles, 1916 || Trench Life || Deutsch || Propaganda || Aftermath of Battle of Fromelles || || 48.623782,6.738483999999971 || Deutsch || Propaganda || Postcard || Western Front || Leintrey church in ruins || Ruined church at Leintrey, France || || German propaganda postcard showing dead 'English' soldiers at Furnes. || 51.073159,2.6680341 || Postcard || Dead 'English' soldiers at Furnes, 1916 || Western Front || Propaganda || Deutsch || || Deutsch || Postcards of German troops, location and regiments unknown || Four German propaganda postcards showing off-duty troops.
