Transcription: 176 Royal Exchange Wednesday 26th November 1834 Dublin 14th November 1834 Sir Pursuant to the orders of the Board I have inspected the premises in Little Ship Street referred to in the Memorial from the Dean of Kildare and others and in order to the better understanding of the subject I have prepared and enclose herewith a Sketch of this part of the City in which the Buildings in question are stained yellow. It appears that the removal of these houses forn part of a project that has been commenced by the Wide Street commissioners for the purpose of improving this part of the Metropoles, by taking down one side of Little Ship Street, and thereby opening a better commer nication between the Castle, Ordinance Office ec.and the western part of the City. This project has been completed except with reference to four houses Standing on the northside of the Street three of which are certainly not in a safe state or fit to be inhabited New fronts appear to have been added to the old Houses and these are severed from the more ancient parts of the building and are in somedanger of falting into the Street The Houses have been a long time in their present state, and it appears to be a subject that demanee promipt attention, as besides the danger arising from the precarious state of the Houses, all that has been done in widening this communication is rendered nearly uscless
