From Tuesday 15th to Wednesday 16th May 2018, Transcribathon took to the stage at the EuropeanaTech Conference 2018 among the grandious surroundings of the SS Rotterdam. On the historic cruise liner, the vast network of Europeana innovators and experts in Tech came together to discuss, share and workshop together under the theme, 'Gorgeous Data, Glorious Technology - The digital face of culture'.
Representing the Transcribathon Europeana 1914-1918 project were Frank Drauschke (Facts & Files) and Olaf Baldini (piktoresk). The website was presented at the conference during the panel Discovery/Participation: User Generated & Institutional Data Transcription projects alongside other cutting-edge transcription initiatives, Transkribus and Crowd Wales.
We were very pleased to have the opportunity to take part in this conference with such an amazing collective of experts in Tech and culture.
