Pair of poster stamps
This is a pair of Italian-made poster stamps from the ‘Marche Nazionaliste’, nationalist stamps, series. Both are from volume 18 of the series and number 6 shows Serbian Prince Regent Alexander, and number 14 shows an image of a Serbian soldier carrying a rifle. Both stamps were produced in October 1915. Serbia and Italy were allies and this period was a particularly difficult one for Serbia as it was facing invasion on several fronts.

This is a poster stamp from the German series called ‘Welt in Waffen’, or World at Arms. This is number 11 of a series of 12 stamps, and shows examples of troop branches in the Serbian army, specifically cavalry, artillery officer, and cavalry. The first 10 stamps in the series featured soldiers from Germany, Austro-Hungary, Italy, America, Russia, England, France, Turkey, Greece, and Bulgaria. The twelfth stamp featured the Montenegrin army. || Poster stamp.

Two Serbian Relief Fund charity postcards. Lecture booklet, 'The Spirit of the Serb' by R. W. Seton-Watson, who was the Honorary Secretary of the Serbian Relief Fund. Receipt for donation to the Serbian Relief Fund for the sum of £2, dated 19 November 1915. || The Serbian Relief Fund was a British charity that set up and maintained a number of hospital units in war-torn Serbia, that also worked in cooperation with the British Red Cross, and helped refugees. Here are a couple of their postcards that were part of the information and fund-raising campaign at the time. One card shows a photograph of a Serbian prisoner of war, suffering from typhus, in an Austrian prison hospital, and the other card is a reproduction of a painting of a Serbian prisoner of war, signed by Angeli Radovani.

Pair of decorative, trench art crosses. || This is a pair of decorative French-made, trench art crosses, likely made in the vicinity of the Salonika Front. They are in the form of a pair of 37MM shell casings with, on top of each, a cruciform pair of bullets. One shell casing has the word 'SERBIE', and the other has 'MACEDOINE'. At the time, Macedonia was a southern province of Serbia. The February 2015, 'AVE' headstamping on one of the bullets indicates that it was manufactured by Cartoucherie de Valence - Cartridge Factory of Valence - in the French commune of Bourg-les-Valence, and the January 1916, 'ATE' headstamping on the other bullet indicates that is was manufactured by Atelier de Fabrication de Toulouse - Manufacturing Workshop of Toulouse - in the French city of Toulouse.
