Album zur Erinnerung an Hermann Stegmayer mit Fotos aus Galizien und Frankreich

Hermann Stegmayer (geboren 1891, gefallen 1918) war der Lieblingsonkel der Mutter der Teilnehmerin. Sie sammelte seine Briefe von ihm und stellte ein Fotoalbum mit Bildern zur Erinnerung an ihn zusammen. Er war zunächst in Frankreich in den Vogesen eingesetzt, kam dann nach Galizien (heute: Polen / Ukraine), nach dem Waffenstillstand Dez. 1917 mit Russland, war er zurück in Frankreich wo er umkam. Das Album hat sie handschriftlich kommentiert, z.B. mit den Einträgen: Meinem unvergeßlichen Onkel Hermann, der am Ostermontag d. 1. April 1918, den Heldentod starb, zum Gedächtnis / Offenburg 1914 / Zur Genesung in der Heimat Mai (?) 1914 / Erinnerung an die 3. I R. 84 / 15.4.1915 Vogesen / September 1915 Tête du Violu / Impfung gegen Typhus Mai 1916 / Fort Witry, Mai 1917 / Galizien Juni 1917 / Kociubincziki (Ostgalizien) – 21.9.1917 / Mit Russen (beim) Waffenstillstand in Ostgalizien Dez. 1917 / Laon März 1918 / Hermanns Grab 3. April 1918 / Im Album ebenfalls enthalten: Todesanzeige: Leutnant Hermann Stegmayer, Führer der 5. Komp. eines Infanterie-Regiments, Eisernes Kreuz 1. u. 2. Klasse, und des Zähringer Löwen mit Schwertern / detaillierter Zeitungsbericht über seine Verwundung am 25. März und sein Tod / Er starb bei Crécy s. Serre als Lt. d. R. 5./ Ers. I. R. 29.
